Leave about 24 feet of rope uncoiled; this uncoiled rope is used to tie the coiled rope. 03) Wrap the long uncoiled part of the rope around the center of the coiled rope to secure it. I've unsuccessfully used elastic bands and duct tape. Elastic bands break or slip off, and duct tape left a sticky residue. I now use Web Dominator, an excellent strap management system using a small plastic clip with shock cord attached.

Rope is usually measured in diameter, so if you use the Circumference = 2Ï€r formula to solve for the diameter of a circle with a 1.5" circumference, you get a dimeter of .48".
